Screen Mirroring from Your Smartphone to the MovingStyle

The MovingStyle allows for the screen of the mobile device to be transmitted to and be viewed on its screen. Enjoy viewing the contents on your smartphones such as entertainment, work or everyday tasks but projected on a bigger display that can be move from place to place . This can be done via Smart View and SmartThings as well as Apple Airplay* or Google Cast**. Follow the below guide for more information.

Pre-Checklist:

  • To use the Smart View function, the smartphone device must support a mirroring function, such as Screen Mirroring or Smart View. To check whether your smartphone device supports the mirroring function, refer to the smartphone device's user manual.
1 On the Samsung smartphone, pull the quick menu down and select "Smart View".

2 A device menu will appear. Select the MovingStyle from the list.

3 A pop-up will appear. Press "Start Now" to confirm selection.

4 Your smartphone screen will be display on the Movingstyle.

 Note:

  • Smartphone and Movingstyle must be connected to the same Wi-Fi. 
  • Check if Smart View is allowed on the MovingStyle (Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Device Connect Manager > Access Notification).
  • If connecting for first time, on the MovingStyle, a device request pop up will appear. Select "Allow" to confirm.
  • The touchscreen feature will be turned off when in Smart View mode.
  • To turn off Screen Sharing (Smart View), disconnect the smartphone or press the return button on the remote control.
  • The Screen Sharing (Smart View) feature may not operate smoothly in a 2.4 GHz environment. For better experience, 5.0 GHz is recommended. 5 GHz may not be available depending on the model.

  • Prior to following the below guide, ensure that you have downloaded the SmartThings app and have connected the MovingStyle to it.
1 On the smartphone, open the 'SmartThings' app.

2 On the homepage, select the connected MovingStyle.

3 Navigate down the menu and select "Smart View".

4 A pop up will appear. Press "Phone -> Screen" to confirm.

5 Your smartphone screen will be display on the Movingstyle.

 Note:

  • Smartphone and Movingstyle must be connected to the same Wi-Fi.

1 Select from an AirPlay-supported app or Control Centre on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
2 Select the MovingStyle from the list of available devices to share screen to.

 Note:

  • This function may not be supported depending on the model or geographical area.
  • To use AirPlay with your MovingStyle, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended. 
  • Make sure the MovingStyle is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple device.
  • The touchscreen feature will be turned off when using Apple Airplay.
1 Select from a Google Cast-supported app on your smartphone.
2 Select the MovingStyle from the list of available devices to share screen to.

 Note:

  • Make sure the MovingStyle is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. 
  • The touchscreen feature will be turned off when using Google Cast.
