[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the large capacity (27.4 cu feet) side by side refrigerator to replace our 26 year old model that finally gave out. It is the all around cooling style and does provide room for your regular family needs. It fits perfectly, and set up was very fast. Side note: It is on wheels and moves forwards and backwards with ease. I am disappointed in a few things because this model does not allow you to add or change around your door shelves (as needed) so I cannot adjust them to my disability. The drawers do not offer the humidity controls I’ve used for the last 20 years so I will update how they work keeping my fruits & vegetables fresh. All plastic is very thin and doesn’t seem like it will hold up to anything but the absolute best care. Same with the glass—it’s thinner (by half!) compared to my last one and makes me nervous for casseroles and other heavier items requiring refrigeration. I will be using with extreme caution. There is no light for the water/ice dispenser which was very surprising at this price point. Also, I often have to push the button manually, because the cups/bottles will not press against it solidly - while keeping it properly positioned - during dispensing. The fridge and freezer cooled to perfect temperatures within 24 hours of being plugged in, and have maintained them nicely. They seem to lose temperature faster than my last model but cool again quickly. Ice maker filled in about 48 hours. I like the overall look of the refrigerator, and not having handles that stick out will be very helpful for my condition. The “door open” alarm is very convenient, and I wish I could get the app to work with my phone so I could be alerted to an open door or change in temperature. I only knocked it down one star but at this price point maybe it should be two… I expected so much more from a Samsung product. I hope it works efficiently and provides me with a long life like the last one did - but only time will tell. Mostly happy with this replacement but sorely missing my last one!!

I have the used the refrigerator for about a week. The things that helped make the decision was there is no handles. There is an indent in the door that easily opens the doors. No more dirty handles!! Also because the ice maker is in the door which provides another shelf for frozen foods. I am super excited about the all around cooling. Another great perk is a sound that is made when either door is open too long. The finish is so nice as it is fingerprint proof. Not a deal breaker but I wish there was a light by where you get ice cubes and water. That would help to see when to stop the water. There are 2 drawers for fruits and vegetables. I do wish it had one more smaller drawer for meats and cheese. I plan to find some kind of bin to set on a shelf for those items. My last refrigerator lasted 25 years. Hoping this refrigerator will be as good.

This has been the worse refrigerator I have ever purchased. It freezes everything in the back of the refrigerator. I have had to throw out so much food because of it. Frozen eggs, lettuce, and yogurt. All of the side door plastic shelves are cracked and broken. This is not a good fridge to buy. What a waste of money!!

per the samsung rep, this makes 120 ice cubes/ day, thats 5 ice cube per/hr. so the storage capacity is small. the ice dispenser lags, need to give it breaks in between filling up an 8oz cup. the fingerprint resistance dont work, even after washing your hands. save your money and get a regular fridge. we decided on this fridge ,because of how sleek it looked and the fingerprint resistant. we bought a samsung washer and dryer,on the same day as the fridge. hopefully the washer and dryer features, it says it has, actually exist. there was no incentive to buy all samsung. we chose samsung because we assumed the appliances would be like the samsung phone technology,exceptional features and quality

my boyfriend and i moved into our home last november. the sellers had left their appliances for us. one being this fridge. all in all, this is a pretty good fridge. the ice maker is awful. it creates quite a bit of ice but then there seems to be something causing it to melt and become one big chuck, therefore, not allowing ice to come down into your cup. we've checked the seal by doing the "pour water down the ice chute to make sure there are no leaks. none. not one drop. also, the fridge may be fingerprint resistant, but don't put anything on the front of it. we had several different types of magnets on in and if they move "at all" you get tiny scratches all over it. now the front of our fridge is all scratched up.

Purchased this refrigerator in black stainless and while generally the finish looks great, it's not stainless steel but some sort of plastic cover. This cover is easily scratched, especially by the crisper drawers which bump the outer side of the right refrigerator door when the door is open. Also, the ice maker is very slow to produce ice. We're a two-person household so usually it's enough but we always have to buy a bag of ice if we're going to entertain. I've been unable to find touch up paint to match the black stainless and Samsung support has been unhelpful. I would purchase Samsung appliances again but not in the black stainless finish.

i love my new samsung refrigerator! it’s so sleek & stylish. it’s very roomy, well lit & super quite. i love that the ice maker is in the door leaving more room in the freezer. the water dispenser is tall enough for a large glass. after the installation, we had to check it to make sure it was working it’s that quite. the delivery was awesome, they came in (masks & gloves) got the old fridge out & brought in & installed the new fridge all in less than 30 minutes! i purchased on a thursday & it came the next tuesday, so quick.

we have had this otherwise impressive fridge since december 2020. the fridge is very spacious. we regularly keep the fridge stocked with beverages, meats & veggies, and more. where there is a total letdown is the ice maker. it makes ice but the shoot that the ice is supposed to be dispensed through froze over with this huge iceberg. i have been thawing it out. i wanted to share the situation here. let's see what the results are. samsung, please make it right!

I have had my Samsung refrigerator 14 months. I hate , it I have had on going problems where my ice machine. Ice machine has broke down 2 times and barely put out I now. The fan went out and had to get repaired also. I just gave my GE away I have had for 14 years and not one problem my ice machine has worked for 14. Now I have Samsung and no ice. Worst fridge we have ever owned. Took 3 days for ice maker to make ice. Ice maker never fills up it barely makes any ice. Fridge and freezer works perfect. Had a samsung repair guy come out fro a brand new fridge broke out of the box because rhwy wouldn't gove me a new one. guy dosent even know how to remove the ice maler and yanked my plastic parts on ice maler to the point of it not seating flush anymore. also left with out wiping out my ice shoot where he spilt a bunch of water so I had a clogged frozen ice shoot. Not happy with Samsing quality control or there service techs. Save your self the time and get another brand refidgerator.

Not so good. Remember latest does not mean the Best..... While I like Samsung as a brand, I think buying this refrigerator was not the best decision. I liked the slick exterior design and simple shelf arrangement. But Samsung disregarded several basic features. So many people have mentioned the poor lighting. It is definitely an issue…it is definitely an issue. If the refrigerator is empty (90 to 100%), then you won’t notice the poor lighting. But once shelves are filled 40 to 50%, you won’t see the stuff on the shelf. Poor lighting design and cost cutting measure by Samsung. I am thinking to buy a separate LED light and install it myself. How and When? I don’t know. It is on my list. 2nd annoying thing is dripping water from outlet. This is definitely a flaw in this refrigerator. After you take out the water, there is at least one or two drops of water in the tray. I keep a paper towel in the tray every day to soak the water. 3rd annoying thing- Ice outlet is just too big. It gives you ice everywhere (including on the kitchen floor) except the cup. It just throws ice cubes or pieces everywhere. Every time you have to clean up the floor when you take ice out. My expectations are basic. Aren’t they? Am I asking too much?

Initially I was skeptical of the side by side feature since I had gotten used to my old French door fridge. But after it was delivered and installed, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space both the freezer and refrigerator could accommodate. With my old refrigerator, everything was stacked upon each other in the freezer so I would have to dig through stuff to see what or how much food was there. Now, I can separate items by shelves according to the types of food. Plus, it fits more food. On the refrigerator side, I had the same problem, a lack of shelf space. Not anymore. The shelf heights are all the same and cannot be adjusted, but it is adequate enough to store a Brita pitcher or Starbucks Coffee Creamer container. The fruit and vegetables bins also have a decent size of storage capacity. The storage on the door itself is also more than adequate to handle 2 one gallon containers as well as a dozen 12 ounce drinks and all of my condiments, dressing bottles, etc. Since my refrigerator was delivered only 2,days ago, I haven’t tried the ice maker yet until I throw away the first 2 batches of ice. I have tried the water dispenser, and the water tastes like the water from my Brita pitcher. Finally, I like how the refrigerator looks in my kitchen. The metallic appearance is clean and sleek. The hidden door handles make the fridge unobtrusive.

it’s an upgrade for us, but still lacking for the price. i feel like this about be about $150 less. pros - no handles sticking out lots of room nice shelving depth stainless is pretty nice no filter can be seen cons - needs way more light in both the freezer and fridge in a 4100k color temp to light the bottom half. why is there no design for light in the back bottom half? the ice maker is absolute garbage. it barely makes enough ice in a day to appreciate that its even making it, lol. the design is medciocre and the hook takes quite awhile to grab ice. you’ll get half a chunk of ice vs. crushed. no drip tray design. overall, yes, a nice upgrade, but i feel like the price should be quite a bit less based on those 2 things. lighting and ice maker.

Refrigerator broke after 1 year and Samsung repair service is slow and can't fix refrigerators! Purchased fridge in August 2023, refrigerator broke August 2024. With prompt notifications, Samsung took 1.5 weeks to show up and said the refrigerator was repaired, but after leaving the refrigerator was even worse!(Not cooling whatsoever). Called back and now they will take another week at the earliest! If you like your fridge to be as reliable as a Russian built automobile, this is your fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad to have a new fridge provided by my home warranty company. I do not like the location of the water stream on the in door dispenser. It is too far forward requiring one to use both hands to pour a glass of water, on my old fridge I was able to use just one hand to pour a cup. Also I do not think the glass shelves are as sturdy as they only have plastic edging on the front and back as opposed to around the entire shelf. My old refrigerator had framework all the way around so if something spills on one shelf it was confined to that particular shelf. Lastly, my old refrigerator had adjustable shelf notches in both the door and main body of the unit this one does not.

It was just delivered and and happy with the appearance and storage space. I really like that the ice maker is in the freezer door giving us more storage space in the freezer. Only one problem is that the bottom freezer door tray was missing, which I didn't notice until after the installers left and I was removing all of the tape from the inside. I'm sure Samsung will make that right.

Just got this beautiful piece in and we went from and bottom sliding freezer to a side by side and I’ll never go back. They are such a pain in the butt! This thing is so stinking quiet and very easily moved if needed. It’s also a little bigger and classier than our old one. The black stainless is absolutely stunning! This refrigerator has a very modern design. I like that it does not have handles that stick out like most other refrigerators. It has solid hard plastic shelving in the freezer side as well and not the old standard rack type shelves. I also like that the icemaker is in the door and not sitting on the inside of the freezer taking up needed space.

Good refrigerator. Ice maker is too small. The water dispenser is ridiculous! You have to either have a super wide mouth glass/cup to catch the water as it comes out of the dispenser. No way to know this at the store without a water hookup. You have to hold the glass out away from the back and push the dispenser area with your hand. There's no built in lighting mechanism to show you how full your glass is in the dark! I purchased two battery powered door key illuminators with double faced tape and stuck them up on the sides of the dispenser. They look like they belong there and work better than nothing. Cubed ice comes out basically crushed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Samsung side-by-side to replace an 11-year-old fridge that failed with icing issues on the refrigerator side. It works and has more rated capacity (27 cu ft) vs the 24 cu feet of our original machine. But it’s a lower trim level than our older fridge. It has fewer drawers (no deli drawer) and didn’t gain any shelves, so the effective storage is no better. It also doesn’t have a butter shelf on the door - just a standard shelf without a swinging door. Meanwhile, the energy efficiency is rated worse than the original unit, probably due to less insulation.
