How to use Smart Calibration on Samsung Smart TV

Smart Calibration is an automatic picture calibration solution that allows you to calibrate Samsung display products at the touch of a button on your phone. With Smart Calibration, you can fine-tune the picture quality of the movie screen (Movie Mode) to the quality intended by the video creator to optimize your movie viewing experience.
Note: Your TV and phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

The Smart Calibration feature automatically adjusts your Samsung TV's picture settings to be closer to the quality intended by the video creator when watching movies.
After Calibration, the existing picture mode is changed to Movie (Calibrated).
Compatible Devices
- Smartphone compatibility:
-Galaxy phone models released after January 2019, including the S, Note, Fold and Z Flip models.
-iPhone products released after January 2019 that support the Face ID Function.
- TV/monitor compatibility:
-Basic and Profession Mode supported
[2022] TV: Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED4K QN90B and higher
[2023] TV: Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K QN90C and higher
Monitor: S90PC
-Basic Mode supported
[2022] TV: S95B, Q60B and higher, LS01B, LS02B, and LS03B
Monitor: Smart Monitor M70B and higher, Gaming Monitor G65NB and higher
[2023] TV: S9*C, Q60C and higher, and LS03C
Monitor: Smart Monitor M70C and higher, Gaming Monitor G95SC, and G97NC
You have to register the TV in your SmartThings app in order to use Smart Calibration.
To register your TV in SmartThings, follow below instructions. If you already registered your TV, you may skip this section.
Step 1.
Go to Settings > All Settings.
Step 2.
Select Picture.
Step 3.
Select Smart Calibration.
Step 4.
Scan the QR code with the camera app on your mobile device and follow the registration procedures as prompted.

Tap Start Calibration
If your model support Professional Mode, you will be prompted to choose which mode you are going to use:
① Basic Mode (15 - 30 seconds):
A simple calibration for white balance and menu optimization.
② Professional Mode (5 - 8 minutes):
A thorough calibration for 20-point white balance, grayscale linearity, gamma, and chromaticity.
Step 5.
Place the rear camera of your mobile device 1~3cm from the phone graphic on the display device screen and hold it in that position.
For the Professional Mode, It is recommended to use a tripod within dark room condition for more accurate picture calibration. It takes around 5~8 minutes or more.
If you choose to apply the calibrated result, you will see that the picture mode of your TV has been changed to Movie (Calibrated).
If you'd like to change the picture settings after running Smart Calibration, follow below instructions.
Step 1.
Go to Settings > All Settings.
Step 2.
Select Picture.
Step 3.
Select Picture Mode.
Step 4.
Select your desired Picture Mode from the list.
If you'd like to return your TV to its original picture settings before you ran Smart Calibration, you can reset the picture settings.
Step 1.
Go to Settings > All Settings.
Step 2.
Select Picture.
Step 3.
Select Expert Settings.
Step 4.
Select Reset Picture, then select Reset again to confirm.
Note:
- If you are having trouble with your Samsung Smart TV, you should always check to see if there are any software updates available. Downloading the latest update may fix for your problem.
- Device screenshots, function availability, setting path, menu options and layout may vary depending on the device model and software version.
