[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a mid-range high refresh rate IPS panel to this OLED panel has made an astonishing difference to my experience in the best way possible. Remarkable refresh rate. The response times are so fast that I feel like I'm cheating. HDR, when enabled makes the monitor really bright and games look amazing. I play fast paced FPS games like COD and Apex Legends and this monitor fully delivers. The monitor is amazing absolutely pleased with it.

Deberian haber traido el nuevo modelo de 2025 que es 4K de 27'', no el refrito del año pasado de 32'', ya que este modelo (G81SF) ni siquiera trae apartado Smart y parlantes que tenia el 4K 32 del año pasado y que es mas barato (G80SD) La novedad de este año era precisamente un panel de nueva generacion, 4K de 27 pulgadas, con mayor densidad de pixeles, lo que se rumorea que este modelo de 32'' usa el mismo panel del año pasado. Para peor, los modelos 2025 de monitores Samsung no traen DisplayPort 2.1, solo 1.4, ni tampoco protecciones con sensores de proximidad como otras marcas y por un valor mas bajo (al menos en USA). Es super importante creo yo una proteccion por proximidad, ya que conoci el monitor en un evento de Movistar con Samsung, y el monitor tenia quemado el logo ''Movistar Gameclub'' que tenia de wallpaper ya que estaba encendido estatico todo el dia a todo brillo como exhibicion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing display with the newest generation OLED. It's 4k 240hz (Pretty much endgame). The quality and ergonomics are very good and much better than other brands in my opinion who tend to use plastic. This built to last With QDoled it's the best technology in my opinion. The colours just pop and Samsung knows how to calibrate it to a high standard. One thing I loved about setting this up is that there are zero screws or any need for installing. It just clicks into place and you turn the monitor arm. Hopefully the pictures show the full HDR capabilities, although I will say it looks even better in real life. Gaming is where this monitor shines, it's brightness is very good and I would say I wouldn't want it any brighter as it's a 27 inch monitor where you sit close to it. Any brighter would just cause you to have eye strain or headaches. One thing I would say that differentiates this monitor and the competitors is the Matte screen Vs Glossy. I used to be a glossy fan but Samsung just implemented the Matte screen excellently. The only downside I can see is that on a perfect white background it's got a slightly grainy texture. I would recommend this monitor as the new generational QDOLED looks amazing, there are so many different modes and settings you can configure. Although I would say this is cheaper than last year you do miss out on tizen os and also there is no included speakers. But I'm extremely happy with it and pixel density is amazing and i would highly recommend anyone to buy this.

With industry highest pixel density of 166 ppi and a 240Hz refresh rate, it absolutely blows all other monitors out of the water. The display is vivid and crisp, it has great colour contrast and a wide colour palette - the clarity on the colours is fantastic. Performance wise, there was a visible difference between this monitor (240Hz) and my previous monitor (144Hz) which was really impressive. It was really easy to set up, and I personally like the heavier weight of the stand as it feels super secure in both landscape and portrait mode. When switching between the two modes the screen is smooth to rotate and adjust too. The monitor has a lovely profile and visually it’s very striking. The silver looks really nice and feels high grade and professional. The base plate is quite wide - this was something I liked but worth being aware of if you’re short on desk space. There are plenty of ports too, and I enjoy the fact the power button is a toggle that also functions as access to the menu and quick access to volume etc. It was also a huge plus that this comes with both an HDMI cable and a DP cable (and has a handy cable tidy on the back of the stand) Finally, one of my favourite features is the infinity core lighting! Took me a while to find it in the settings menu, but once I did I fell in love! There are loads of options for customisation, and also the option for Lighting Sync. It really just adds that finishing touch to make this monitor super special.

Its fast without being choppy, and the viewing angles are forgiving. It takes standard VESA mounts, so I can easily add a multi monitor mount whenever I buy another one. The blacks are dark, the colors are vibrant, and the display is bright without bleeding light. It has HDR 10+ certifications and covers 100% of sRGB, so if you do work with color reproduction on the side or for a living and gaming on the side, this would be a beast of a main panel. In games, there's no trail, no choppiness, and the colors and contrast look fantastic. It supports GSYNC, FreeSync, and adaptive sync so you won't have to worry about frame buffering or fooling around with sync limiting your refresh rates. Highly recommend, would give 6 stars if I could!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a 27" OLED monitor by a different brand before, but it was only QHD and not 4K. I'm happy with this Samsung's 27" 4K variant! Black levels are as black as I'd expect any OLEDs to be, and the monitor looks sleek and sharp. I do wish the monitor was a glare option as I prefer that personally, but that's okay. Out of the box, I noticed that the RGB ring behind the monitor wasn't on by default and I feel like many would miss that feature. Few parts that I thought was a bit misleading from the product photos were that the bezel is not as uniformly thin in reality, and that there's no speaker built in (as far as I'm aware). On a positive note, I'm glad to see 120Hz frame rate working on a Mac OS with DisplayPort, and not seeing in 240Hz is an operating system limitation. 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 works perfectly, and I like to use it at 2440 for retina-like experience. In terms of the build quality, it may look like silver plastic, but I like the slim metal design, too. I'll have to check out the PIP feature when I get a chance. Great sharp OLED monitor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the largest monitor I ever owned, so my expectations going in wasn't certain, smoothly playing at 1080 @ 120Hz (can't wait to try at 240Hz when I get a 2nd one of these), specifically due to limitations of my laptop's monitor. All I can really say is how blown away and how much I have been missing out on when I committed to actually putting a better budget towards monitors. The monitor comes with a load of presets for different types of media and game modes, the virtual crosshair seems to be cheaty, but it's spot on when testing and I can see why other gamers used it for so long. The color depth, contrast, and lighting are at levels I've never got to fully experience in a personal gaming setting, and it is AMAZING for movies, which I have watched some in 4k. It's added a new level to my gaming experience and performance, smoothly playing at 1080 @ 120Hz (can't wait to try at 240Hz when I get a 2nd one of these) with an insanely fast response time eliminating any blur or ghosting (which is awesome for action movies too). Overall, I have to say the value for the 27" Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF 4K 240Hz Gaming Monitor is there, and it is well worth it for those who demand high-end gaming, even with dated PCs (I have a GTX 1070).

Before upgrading, I used an LG monitor purchased in 2021 and a HyperX monitor purchased last year. There was nothing wrong with those monitors, but I desperately needed an upgrade. After much research, I decided on this model. Before I begin, it's important to note my intended use. I primarily use it for gaming and personal work. For gaming (Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty), I need a responsive monitor. For personal use (working from home), I need a monitor that displays video and Power BI dashboards smoothly. The Monitor — Display — Glare/Overall Color When I say this monitor is incredible, you have no idea. My desk is by a window, so during the day, there's a lot of glare on my original monitors, and it makes it hard to work. However, with this monitor, I have zero issues. There's no glare, and the colors and blacks are richer on this monitor. It's important for me to have rich colors with Power BI because many of my clients have similar monitors to this one. On my old monitor, if the colors looked great, they probably looked okay on a client's monitor, but now I don't have that issue. Monitor Display - Performance When I was researching monitors, this was the biggest deciding factor. The first game I decided to boot up was Red Dead Redemption. In my photos, you can see the clear comparison in the display alone. It looks much better than my previous model. Performance-wise, zero issues; no lag or buffering issues. The real test was playing Call of Duty. I usually get this weird line on my old monitor when I boot this up, but I didn't have any issues with this one. The response time was very fluid. I increased the resolution to really push the boundaries, but this monitor didn't falter. Absolutely incredible. The Monitor - Design When you think of a monitor, you probably think of something slightly thick, large, and with a stand. At least that's what most monitors are like. Not this one. This one has a sleek, slim, modern design with a light-up color ring behind it. I'm a sucker for LED lights, so when I saw the lights in the back, I was delighted. It's not necessary, but a nice surprise. The stand is also slim and flat, which is nice because I can put office supplies there without any problem. The ports are also located in a very accessible spot, which was a problem I had with my LG monitor. With my LG monitor, I always had to flip it upside down to connect anything, which was a pain. But not with this one. It took about 5 minutes to set everything up. Conclusion Overall, this monitor is a great choice for anyone looking to upgrade. From the design to performance, nothing is lacking. Do yourself a favor and go check it out.

Would highly recommend this monitor, for gaming especially. I really appreciate the glare free aspect of the monitor and how glare does not interfere with gaming or watching videos. The construction of the monitor is beautiful and I am especially taken aback by the slim metal design. I don’t remember seeing the back of a monitor as well designed as this one. In testing the monitor with 8k videos I have to say the picture is stunning and reproduced the video perfectly with spectacular colors and black levels on the OLED panel. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to pick this monitor up especially if you are looking for one with a 240hz refresh rate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After around a month of testing, I am certain when I say that this monitor is one of supreme quality, well justifying the price. To start the review, I would like to cover the few small downsides of the monitor before mentioning the extreme highlights. For starters, whilst the matte/antiglare finish in the monitor is good for preventing reflections from appearing on the screen in high light levels, I find that in these light levels, the light is instead diffused across the entire monitor, making it appear as though it has a backlight-like base light level, which can at times take away from the surreal blacks that OLED brings. Additionally, the circular LED pattern on the rear of the monitor is not very visible, even when it is placed very near a wall. However, these only slightly take away from the fact that the monitor has the shear capability of 4k240 on an OLED panel. It looks beautiful in all light conditions, especially at night. It has deep blacks and high, bright colourful peaks. When compared with my 1440p144 IPS secondary interface, the difference is obvious. Additionally, the monitor provides amazing looking HDR, as I find some screens of cheaper quality tend to discard this optimal capability for something less impressive, just so that they can claim they are "HDR Compatible". The key takeaways from this monitor are that: it looks colourful and amazing; it is a monitor of the highest standard, which your GPU may even struggle to use it's full range of clarity it's that good; it is vastly better than most alternative monitors. Overall, this is a 9/10 product worth buying.

Picture was great but did not keep. Use for work and could not wait for this monitor to wake up from sleep. Would show a 5 second no input screen, then another 5 second connecting screen and then asked to register product blocking the screen for 5 seconds before you could use computer. Called Samsung after registering product to get rid of Register Pop-Up, could not help. Might be something with connecting my ROG computer but did not work for me. It's very common to find many people with the same problem when searching online

Excellent écran, très bon rendu et parfait pour jouer aux jeux vidéo. L’écran a de magnifiques contrastes, de magnifiques couleurs et une très bonne luminosité pour de l’OLED. L’écran permet de profiter au maximum de ma PS5 Pro avec une 4K et une fréquence d’image bien élevée. J’aurais bien aimé pouvoir ajouter plus de modes de personnalisation d’image afin d’en créer davantage selon les besoins de chaque jeu.

Compre este producto pensando que seria increible como tv samsung QLED, pero desafortunadamente el acabado mate aplicado en este monitor es de lo peor, genera un efecto granulado sobre los textos en fondos blancos, se siente que la pantalla esta sucia en todo momento. En Colombia no me quisieron realizar devolución del monitor debido a que la política de Samsung impide que pruebes el producto, debes devolverlo sin haberlo abierto ni probado. Un hecho desafortunado, pero hubiera sido un gran monitor si la pantalla no tuviera ese acabado de coprológico y fuera glossy o un acabado mate muy suave que no afectara la calidad de la imagen. Definitivamente no volveré a comprar un producto Samsung.

I had a non-oled 2k monitor, and the quality of this thing is beyond imaginable. The monitor does get a little warm with default settings, I think this could be caused by the cooling features where it tries and disperses heat. You should bring down the brightness as it’s maxed out by default.

With that being said, coming out of the box, the colors are very vibrant and text when working is very clear. I play FPS and RPG games on this monitor and the 240 hz refresh rate is solid. I’m considering buying another one for my setup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now, I know what you’re thinking: “I can never buy a matte OLED, it ruins the clarity!”. I encourage those who work and play in bright environments to give this machine a go, the reflection handling on this monitor is unlike any I have ever seen while retaining 99% of the deep blacks that OLEDs are known for. That slight trade-off, for me, is well worth it in order to use this monitor in any environment I choose. I have no problems using this monitor, both day and night, for this reason. With 240hz, 4K, QD-OLED colors and a blazing fast response time, I don’t see any other 16:9 monitor on the market to buy when eyeing these specs. This is the one. The slim, metal design is sleek while the colors of HDR 10+ pop like no other display. Don’t let the fact that it’s matte ruin your experience. Give it a go and you’ll see that the trade-off is well worth the flexibility and longevity out of this machine with its custom heat sink.

Well, they got me. After tons of research on oleds, I decided to hop in. A month in, hadnt heard anything about my promotional headset. Contact support. We'll get it taken care of. Nope. Two weeks later. We'll get it taken care of. Nope. Now 3 months from ordering. Still hasn't been taken care of. Now three months in, I'm starting to notice screen burn in. I play a couple hours a day, when I walk away from the pc, I minimize anything I had open and have task bar set to hide. The main game i play that has a static hud, I hide hud in until I'm about to be in combat(World of Warcraft) AND have burn in protection addon which dims my screen to black if I'm afk for any more than a minute AND constantly shifts my UI, 30pixels at a time to random spots. Yet here I am, with my health bar burnt into the screen. Support says I'll be without a monitor til they fix it, which I obviously have little faith in, being 3 months into an existing issue. May just chuck it on marketplace and buy an asus, or question oled altogether again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. The Samsung 27" Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF is a beast. I wish I didn’t wait so long to make the jump to oled. I was wanting to downsize from a 32” screen size and when I saw Samsung put out a premium 27” screen I knew it was time. The colors pop and the blacks look fantastic and the refresh rate keeps everything smooth. I thought my previous IPS monitor was decent enough but now I see all the flaws in my previous IPS monitor. The inaccurate colors, light banding, and poor contrast are all a thing of the past. The G81SF has handled everything I throw at it from gaming to word processing to video content to browsing the net. I am a fan of the matte screen as I don’t have total control over the lighting where I have my computer set up but this screen shines regardless and there are zero pesky reflections. The build quality is fantastic and the monitor looks and feels premium. The stand offers a lot of customization and stays true to the premium design. I’ve had over two weeks of use with this monitor and everything has been amazing. Well done Samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has the best design imo amongst the competitors. I especially like the metal stand, it's sturdy and flat, so you can still have the space on your desk. There really not much to say about the panel as Samsung is the dominating the space. I personally love the anti reflection coating despite many people on the internet hates it. I put my PC in a bright room close to window, and it's significantly better to look at than the glossy ones. One minor downside for the monitor is the ports. The DP port is only DP 1.4, although enough to drive to the max specs of the monitors with DSC, it still feels somewhat a disappointment given this is the latest flagship model. It also doesn't have usb C ports, although it's not common in gaming monitor, I think it's much versatile. Since you can essentially use it for both data, display and even power delivery. The usb A ports on the back are not useful, unless you buy a separate mini usb cable (not included in the package) and connect it to your PC to turn the USB ports as a hub. All of it would've been solved by a single usb C port. Overall, I really love this product and has been absolutely enjoying it.

The deep blacks can’t Andy deeper than this! I’ve never noticed any screen tearing effects from fast pace shooter games. The build quality is great on this monitor and the styling of this monitor looks pretty cool to me. Not anything crazy and not boring, it’s just right. A feature I like is the standby mode. It’s one less step for me when I want to hop on for a quick game. I don’t have to ever touch my monitor to turn it on. Overall, if you’re looking for a high end monitor that has the quality your feening for, then this monitor won’t disappoint. I’m happy with what I have and intend to keep it for a few years!

Running this with a 7900xt and 4K gaming for the first time and it’s amazing. Freesync makes a world of difference I was worried I would have to lower my settings, but this thing is a beast. Runs cool and use it for productivity and studying and not worried about burn in because of it. Highly recommend, only downside I’d put is the IO panel feels easily breakable if you jam the connectors in.

This is my 3rd 27" OLED monitor and by far the best. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: First 4K 27" OLED panel with high refresh rate on the market. Finally no text clarity issues due to unusual sub pixel layout like predecessors used to have. It's thin and light and partially made out of metal therefore feels premium. Cons: No KVM that would be very useful for productivity. No USB-C to connect and charge your laptop with just one cable. USB type-A cable wasn't included in the box, that's unusual.

Low input lag is also important, but that's the case with most monitors. Having VRR support helps reduce screen tearing, and most monitors support common VRR formats. Lastly, premium monitors usually have incredible picture quality, so they offer the best of both worlds. Even some entry-level monitors have good picture quality, but these are less common.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The specs are frankly overkill. On DP1.4, the option of 10bit 4K 240Hz shows up, it looks fantastic. I haven't really noticed and FSC artifacts. The display is gorgeous, input latency is nothing noticable, and the pixel response time plus 240Hz yields the best gaming experience. Movies look fine once settings are dialed in. I do wish Samsung made it easy to get a mode where nothing more than the most accurate and true to the original picture was displayed.

Compré este momitor y es realmente fantastico, lo que mas me ha asombrado es la fluidez, Ya no tengo que activar la sincronizacion vertical a pesar de tener fps variables porque este monitor lo hace de forma dinamica. A pesar de tener una tarjeta de video 2080ti corriendo a menos de 80fps a 4k se ve impresionante , no me arrepiento de haber comprado este monitor en vez de haber mejorado mi tarjeta gráfica

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really struggle to understand how this product made it into the real world without anyone intervening. I own other Samsung screens, including an OLED TV, which has a glossy screen and is beautiful. With this monitor, however, they tried to use some sort of matte screen technology that leaves a very visible cloudy / smudgy appearance all over the screen. It is extremely visible any time you have white or other light-colored content on the screen, which for me is quite a lot. The whole purpose of buying a top-of-the-line OLED monitor like this for the excellent appearance of the screen, and yet this one looks worse than screens much cheaper. Unfortunately, I feel this one is a big miss by Samsung. Hopefully they learn from this, because I have a large number of Samsung screens and enjoy the ecosystem, especially the ability to calibrate the screens with my Samsung Galaxy phones.

The colors are very dynamic and the backlight on the monitor adds for a more dynamic/diverse experience. I like to use the backlight in sync with the picture on screen. Adjusting the monitor's height or tilts is very simple. This is a wonderful monitor and i highly recommend it.

The display itself looks amazing especially compared to my non oled samung monitor. The refresh rate is outstanding for competitive games and the colour accuracy is really good. However I found an issue with the monitor where I can't change the display to ultrawide unless I turn freesync off. This is very disappointing as this worked flawlessly on my previous monitor.

Compre el monitor hace unos dias y me ha encantado su resolución su definicion definitivamente jamas volvere a IPS después de haber conocido el OLED, lastima que no tenga la función de sistema operativo o al menos unas bocinas de resto el monitor sus acabados y prácticamente todo es excelente
