Ordered a black cover for my husband and a white one for myself. They do the job and we really enjoy the look and feel of the cover. It's sturdy and I love the case insert that holds the pen. It is removable, but we prefer to have it on. It's definitely not a cover I would have on for outdoor use but, it is really nice for a business professional setting or just for at home. It's aesthetically pleasing if that's something you care about. If you're looking for a sturdier thicker cover, I recommend checking out Samsung's outdoor cover! That one is designed for an active lifestyle and will protect your tablet from bumps and drops.

No entiendo como Samsung ha creado una funda que empeora con respecto a versiones anteriores pese a costar casi el doble. Creo que esta vez no se ha tenido tan en cuenta al usuario que dibuja con ella por los ángulos de posición en horizontal, como si al usuario que simplemente disfruta de la pantalla a nivel multimedia. Es una tablet que sirve para mucho más que ver vídeos, y la funda debería tenerlo claro también. Al final parece que marcas sucedáneas estén pensando lo que Samsung no, y esto es un problema para la marca. El diseño tiene que ir acompañado de la funcionalidad. Y normalizar encarecer un producto cada año que pasa pese a en ocasiones empeorarlo...en fin. Gracias.

The placement of the pen on the back of the tablet is not good design. The tablet never lays flat. Writing and drawing is uncomfortable, I use the tablet laying flat for quite a number of applications. This is more a tablet issue than case, however, if the case was thicker to cover the pen, that would be a solution. I have been using Samsung tablet for years. My first was Tab S4 when the first came out. The pen holder on the case was perfect. The case is also very thick which makes it heavier and more cumbersome. colors - we would love colors to please. : )

My last tablet and cover was a Galaxy Tab S7 plus, and, unfortunately, for me, this new cover is not as good, despite being more expensive. Firstly it is almost double the weight of the S7 plus cover. I weighed them both - 234g (8.25oz) v 424g (15oz). Secondly, although there is the capability to stand in portrait mode, the option of two different angles in landscape mode (the angle you'd watch streaming services etc) has vanished. Thirdly there is now a raised bump/protrusion where the stylus is stored (see photo), meaning the tablet can no longer lie flat with the cover on. Finally the front cover is a separate component to the back cover and is held by a thin magnetic strip about 5mm (0.2 in) wide, so it detaches itself far too easily from the tablet. Overall I cannot recommend.

The shape is vary nice, and the stand is a great addition. The texture and material is disgusting though, it will definitely be a grease fingerprint magnet and I'm probably just gonna return this one. They've also continued to use the thin edge design which is also terrible. I do really like the soft fabric on the part that touches the screen but that doesn't make up for the gross soft plastic the rest of its made of: I wish it were the faux leather.

Purchased for my new Tab S9, which replaces a Tab S6 and cover. This cover fits my tablet as well as you would expect a dedicated Samsung accessory should. As well-constructed as my old Tab S6 cover - which held up remarkably well during 5 years of constant use and travel - I expect this cover to last equally as long. New feature that I like: the cover folds so that you can stand the tablet in portrait as well as landscape - both are secure positions.

So far, I have really enjoyed my new tablet. It is markedly faster and smoother than my s7 FE and the new cameras are a great imporvement as well. My only complaint would be that I don't feel as though there was a significant jump in battery life. I know this might be expected as it does have improved computing power, and isn't a huge problem. Just the only thing I could think of that was a slight issue.

I upgraded from a galaxy tab S7, with which the official smart book case was perfect. Simple, light, good hold points and the pen stored in the side allowing the tablet to lye flat. Non of those features are present in this new iteration. It is truly a terrible design. So extremely disappointed. I think I will send both the cover and tablet back and try to pick up an old S7 second hand

A step backwards from my previous (and much less expensive) case. The pen holder sticks out of the back, therefore the tablet isn't flat and it doesn't fit well in my compact carrier bag. Also, although the portrait function is good, it doesn't have a lay flat mode, and since I mainly use my tablet for drawing this is a big compromise. I will try and return it.

Good fit, and looks good on the tablet too. I like the fold out back, it makes reading from a table a lot easier, and the main reason I purchased this cover. Holds the S-Pen tightly, and protects the table well. Although expensive, the fit and finish was worth the cost, and will help in keeping my tablet protected. Overall, a good purchase.

I love this case. The magnetic attachment is very clever after coming from my Tab s6 cover that was attached with adhesive. The fold over kickstand allows for both vertical and horizontal standing of the tablet. I also like that the S Pen is covered. It keeps me from losing it.

Some really good parts is the transfer of data from the old Tablet to the new. And it cleans up the old one. However, the one bad thing is that you need to press both side switches in order to turn it off but frequently I get it to do a restart instead of a turn off.

Good Tablet. I always prefer android tablet to Ipads for Instagram. Works well. Sometimes I am surprised and am like - woah, did not know it could do that. Coming off a smaller Tab S6 Lite, this is much better. Screen quality is great and the tablet is fast.

Great protection case but it just doesn't offer flexibility in horizontal or vertical stand positions. It can be difficult to get the stand to open for use. The little tab doesn't always release itself and I find myself pulling the case from the tablet.

Very nice cover that allows the tablet to be set on my desk easily. The cover is actually 2 pieces but snaps together via magnets, one piece to the back with the stylus holder and one to the edge of the tablet. Very easy to wipe off and clean.

This is the worst cover Samsung has ever made. It is in 2 pieces with a magnetic attachment. It constantly comes apart. I cannot tell you how many times I have dropped my tablet because the cover separates. Very expensive and awful!

I've had this cover for a few months now and there are pros and cons. On the negative side: The front part of the cover makes it awkward and unwieldy to hold and use. Folding it back or putting it down on a surface is a bad idea since the microfibre inside can get covered in dust and dirt, which will get scratched onto your screen when you close it. It also flops around and doesn't feel secure when you fold it onto the back of the tablet. It's easy to remove completely, so that at least minimizes this issue. Secondly, the magnets in the back half of the cover interfere with the stylus. In two spots you can see the tip of the stylus drifting away from where it should be when you're trying to write. It's almost as if you're writing on a tennis ball. I use my tablet almost entirely for writing and note taking so this is very annoying. I have to always scroll, swipe and zoom pages around so that I avoid those spots. The positives: Looks great, quality feels awesome and it's super sleek. I also like that you can just take off the front cover if you're not using it.

The tablet is fast with great video. It is very comfortable to hold whether sitting in a chair or laying in bed. The cover works very well once I figured out how to use it. I do have an issue with the fingerprint option and ability to power down that almost caused a warranty repair. The sensor works very fast and is not the issue. You must enter your password once every 72 hours. I don't think I ever heard or read about this requirement. If for some reason you don't remember your password the tablet can't be powered off. Samsung help can not send any commands unless the tablet is in the power up mode. Their solution was to wait until the battery was complexly dead and they would then give it a try. The other option was to send it into have it factory reset which currently might take two weeks. In stumbling around trying to remember my usual 4 digit password I hit some extra number and rather than a blank screen was warned incorrect password. I switched to my standard longer password and was able to logon. This tablet is great and well worth the cost just keep a copy of passwords and pins in a secure place. I now use may LassPass account. My only complaint is the inability to power off if you aren't logged int.
