The battery life is amazing, I've started to use the battery protection setting to charge only upto 85% and even though i haven't charged it fully the battery lasts all day with my regular usage. I've started to explore the horizontal lock on the super steady recording mode and this is so helpful when recording my friends and family to rock climbing sets. Usually whilst recording you get distracted and accidentally tilt the phone and ruin the video but this new feature if a game changer. So far the Samsung S26 has been well worth it!

Straight out of the box it is everything i loved about the S23 Ultra only I noticed its alot lighter. Transfer was as simple as it could be, took about 30mins and it mirrored my old phone, not that the S23 was slow but this is notably smoother and faster... so far perfection. I do alot of action sport filming and was surprised to see improved resolution and the stability feature is next level. I can zoom right in to get all the detail and goodness of the action and its like its on a tripod.. unexpected mastery... Thanks Samsung the S26 Ultra is awesome.

The zoom comes at a slightly awkward cost, though: The camera lenses stick out quite far, so the phone won't sit flush with its back to the table. A good and chunky otterbox case mitigates this slightly, but it's still not flat. If that's not an issue for you, then no problems. If you want a slimline case, and want to be able to use your phone when it is flat on a tabletop like me, you'll need something to help balance the phone so it doesn't wobble when you touch it. Oh, and the hidden stylus is pretty cool, even if I can't think of a use for it yet.

Unfortunately, my S22U died, crashing into an unrecoverable boot loop. The Bluetooth S-Pen is invaluable for astro-photography - something that Samsung make great phones for, but they don't listen to their most ardent customers, dropping it in the S25 line, and not bringing it back for the S26. However, since my phone had died, I had little choice but to upgrade anyway. This phone is nice, but not a great upgrade. It's a decent phone, but not a worthwhile successor to the S24 Ultra, which was the pinnacle of the line.

The screens colours do not pop like on the S25 Ultra though to me it appears to be better calibrated to represent real colour tones. The new processor definitely speeds up the phone across all functions whether its in apps or website usage. The Ai is best in class, no competition. The slimmer and lighter body feels great in the hand. The new clear hard case is also improved strangely softer on touch and less of a finger print magnet. For those on S25U the new processor is worth the upgrade.

I do have one criticism : I bought a new transparent case for the phone but annoyingly, the device does not sit flat on the table or counter, so as I'm typing out texts or whatever, the phone is not stable or still. I have to steady the device with my left hand as I type, and I'm constantly hitting the microphone icon by accident. It's a bit of a drag if I'm honest. This is the first time I have encountered this problem with Samsung's phones. Our devices should be able to sit completely flat and stable on a desk or counter. Poorly designed.

The aluminium body feels solid and premium in the hand, and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the design. First of all love the camera, and the cool privacy glass feature. But, was expecting the bluetooth S pen in this with the remote feature. AI capabilities are impressive, but still lagging at some places. Comparing to fold the width is slightly more to the extent where one hand holding makes it less comfortable that you need to use both hands. The AI features are genuinely useful, and the camera is noticeably improved — especially the clarity and stability at 100× zoom. It also feels lighter in the hand and the curved edges make it more comfortable to hold. The only downside I’ve noticed is the built-in privacy display mode, which can make the screen look slightly discoloured and a bit pixelated when it’s enabled. The battery life seems much the same and haven't noticed any difference to performance but overall a solid phone.

We enjoy the privacy display, cameras, Galaxy AI, the pastel colours options and the new operating system. When transferring from our 2020 models to the S26 the improvements were very apparent and we couldn't recommend our upgrade more. The only downside was we couldn't transfer our SD cards from our old devices but on pre-order and with Samsung's deals we got a very reasonable price for a higher storage device. Would recommend this phone to everyone.

Always preferred having the S-Pen available for quick notes or sketches ans things. Comes in super handy when you need to show someone something and explaining it with words isn't working/is too hard. Love the new software upgrades and the screen/camera quality is very nice! Like the round edge detailing, never been too fussed about the style of the phone but nice to have all the same buttons in the same locations on the phone itself (e.g. power button/volume up and down buttons).

Comparing my new S26 Ultra to my S24 Ultra and there are several design elements that I will miss from my S24 Ultra. I don't like the more rounded edges on the S26 Ultra as it slightly crops content where the corners are and I find it noticible. I don't like that S Pen has to ONLY go in a certain way. I don't like the HUGE camera bump and that I have to use a much bulkier case to keep it flat on the table/desk. Those parts aside, the phone is very fast and feature rich!

Upgrading from S23 Ultra, I have not noticed any significant camera improvements, except video stabilisation. Photos are still over sharpened and lack detail. AI features are unnecessary gimmick. I hoped AI photo editing would be great, but it grossly downgrades photo size and quality, changes letters, face features, so it is unusable. Privacy screen is a nifty little thing. 60W charging for the first 5 minutes or so, then it continues to drop the wattage; disappointing. I feel it is not an upgrade, but a replacement of the now ageing S23 U.

Charges fast too. So far software is great except for a few gremlins with autofill. I'm guessing it's from the transfer from my old phone. Wish autofill was more consistent among apps but can't do much when you have to use Samsung and Google back end and they don't communicate. Not used all new features yet, but slowly trying the AI features which are useful. I'm still not sure on the screen, very different from my S21+ in vividness but don't mind the natural look.

The improvements are night and day, battery holds its charge for close to 3 days, 2 if I'm doom scrolling. Ai assist is clever and I can see myself using it more often, although I do feel I've sold my soul and betrayed humanity. Privacy glass is a great added feature of security and the speed of the the interface is fast and sharp. I do prefer the square edges of my s22 Ultra but it's no deal breaker. The screen on the s26 is remarkably clear and vibrant. I definitely recommend the upgrade if you have a phone lower than the s24.

I just felt it was time and given time I will eventually come to enjoy my new 26. I am very disappointed that the 26 ( a so called FLAGSHIP phone) doesn't have Bluetooth on the pen, a feature I use constantly on the 23 particularly when using the camera. If there were someway this feature could be added to the 26, it would be life changing. I'm certain I will over time find features that will create an inseparable relationship with my S26 Ultra.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been putting the new Samsung S26 Ultra through its paces, and honestly, this thing is a beast! After using the 512GB model, I can definitely say it’s the way to go—you never have to worry about running out of space for high-res photos or videos. The only real "con" for me is the back side. The camera lenses are so prominent that the phone never actually sits flat on a table. It has a bit of a wobble if you don't have a case on it because those lenses really stick out! It’s a trade-off for having such a high-end camera, but it's something to keep in mind if you like a flush design.

I enjoy the inbuilt privacy screen, the stunning photos it can take, i legit could count ever piece of fur on my cat, its Amazing! The battery life is astonishingly good, i dont have to charge during the day after heavy use i can easily get over 48hrs with only moderate use, with battery saving mode and moderate use i could get close to over 3 days without charge. Samsung, you have done an amazing Job in the design and functionality of the S26 Ultra, I love it!

After my first Samsung I haven't looked back. My new s26 Ultra is fabulous, I haven't yet played with all it can do and I'm looking forward to checking out all it can do, especially all the photographic features, which is why I buy the Ultra now. My husband is also enjoying my s23 Ultra and our grandson is enjoying my husbands old A51 which still works really well. Samsungs are made to last the distance. I will never change to another company. I love my Samsung phone and tablet, they are so reliable and easy to use and navigate. thanks Samsung.

De plus le S26 Ultra n'a pas de "Edge" comme le S23 Ultra et je crois que je préfère cela. Je le recommande fortement.

I'm a long term Galaxy Ultra user who usually upgrades each year. After some consideration I had skipped last years upgrade to the S25 however, and was still using my S24 Ultra. This phone seems to be a nice upgrade. The screen is attractive, I'm enjoying the privacy screen and the feel of the phone overall is much nicer. Not a huge fan of the number of AI features on this phone but, with considerable effort, I have managed to turn quite a lot of them off. Speed, battery and general usage are all pretty good and the camera seems a bit crisper. Overall, except for the plethora of AI inclusions, I'm pretty happy with it.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
