I’ve been using the Samsung Family Hub RF65DG9H0EB1EU for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The AI Vision Inside feature is incredibly useful—I can easily manage my food inventory and get recipe ideas. Plus, the sleek black design adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen. The family hub is great we use it to manage food in the fridge, planning meals and shopping by creating shopping lists. The beverage centre is great now we don’t buy bottle water all the time we just use this, coupled with the automatic ice maker it’s a hit with the family. Being a French door design you have the flexibility to change one section from freezer to fridge .. very handy

I bought this fridge a few weeks ago and overall I’m really happy with it. The size is perfect for my needs, and I love the beverage centre—it’s super convenient. When I first set it up, the hub LCD screen wasn’t working properly and wouldn’t turn on. Thankfully, after the latest update it started working, though I do find the available apps a bit limited and the new AI features not as impressive as I expected. Compared to my older Hub model, this one does lack a few things I miss, like the internal viewing camera and the humidity controls on the crispers. Those features were really useful. That said, despite the missing extras, it’s still a great fridge overall—especially when it comes to size and practicality.

First off, the size. 809 liters. It’s huge. You could practically store enough food for a small army in there. I love how spacious and well laid out the shelves are — there’s room for everything, even those tall bottles that never seem to fit anywhere else. It’s perfect if you meal prep or just hate playing fridge Tetris. Now, the smart stuff. It’s loaded. The big 32-inch screen on the door is wild — you can play music, leave notes, see who’s at the door, or even watch TV while cooking. Plus, the “AI Vision Inside” camera lets you peek inside your fridge from your phone, which honestly saves me from buying yet another carton of milk I already have. It’s not perfect — sometimes it doesn’t recognize everything — but it’s still pretty cool.

Awesome awesome purchase. The spacemax technology enables the storage of groceries in a way that there is no wastage of space. The touch screen is very fast and performs brilliantly. Though the AI for food detection needs a bit of update as it does scan the useby date wrongly. Absolutely loved the beverage center as I always have natural flavoured water either of mint or lemon ready. There is also an option of toggling the freezer to a friege which is a massive advantage. There is nothing which I dont like about my fridge

What a fabulous fridge, it's the first " French Style " fridge and it's great. very visible to check what's in there and such a large space to accommodate everything. The drinks compartment is very good too with the option of the auto refill jug and the water dispenser. Love the fact there is the option to change the other half of the freezer back to a fridge if needed! Hubby is still going through all the techno features on the fridge - it's crazy that the AI can work out what you are putting in the fridge and when it needs to be taken out. It will take a bit of time getting used to all the additional features this fridge has - our old Samsung fridge which eventually gave up just before Christmas was 18 years old. I am hoping that this one lasts just as long!

I have the original and wouldn't bother, they just forgot about they're 2 previous models, we still are not able to use the microphone. There's no more updates, they clearly haven't fixed the ice machine issue, all of us with older models don't have ice anymore. Filters are hard to get and ridiculously expensive and once your warranty runs out, it's cheaper to buy a whole new fridge. Loved mine at the start, but wouldn't bother again. Save yourself the hassle

I bought this 3 weeks ago and love it. It’s very spacious and super quiet. The auto fill water jug is amazing and the ice maker makes 2 sizes of ice … perfect. The door within a door is extremely useful. One downfall, it’s preset with Melbourne radio stations and we live in Perth. The help desk has so far been unable to resolve the issue. An added incentive would be for delivery, removal of old appliance and install not just delivery and removal.

We have bought this Refrigerator 10 months ago, kids love the screen l, listening to music or watching cooking recipes on YouTube. Fantastic ice makers, “feels like a party place”. Very deep space, can fit literally anything. Bought online and came with in a week, Samsung unboxed and installed everything always good to go. I love how I can control functions from my phone with Smart App. Best $ I’ve spent ever on a refrigerator/ a TV. 📺

This fridge freezer is totally amazing as it even informs you when products are out of date and asks for them to be removed. Beverage centre really saves time and money as you not have to open the whole fridge, so reduces temperature loss. This product replaced an old Whirlpool American fridge freezer we had for 18 years and we do respect technology has moved on, but this another step further. Brilliant product and service.

All AI functionality for food recognition is a joke. The instructions say to put items in the fridge slowly and one at a time. This is exactly how everyone uses the fridge.... The camera does not recognise barcodes to identify the product. Which would definitely make it easier to collect a database about the products. The tablet, despite being on Android, has strong limitations. It is impossible to install other applications than those enabled by samsung. In my case, only four apps available, which are completely unusable. Probably sponsored... Forget about any kind of fridge exploitation in Home Assistant. You can't control the tablet remotely in any way. There are only 4 available entities. And they could at least add volume and screen control so you can automate the screen. Adding the ability to install the WallPanel app for HA would solve most of the problems.

The capacity is more than enough for our 4 person family needs. The touch screen interface is very easy to use and has many useful apps and technology bult in. Being able to set cooling temperatures and view contents from our phones is invaluable using the Smart things app. We particularly love the ice bites and cube automated system and the in built beverage centre is a fabulous extra.

I bought this a week and absolutely love this fridge. The ice maker is so much better than the old fridge. The water jug is one of the best features, we use it all the time. These is so much more room and well organised. The kids love the tablet and play music all the time. The recipe finder is also a great feature. Its very useful to have the ring doorbell connect to the fridge.

The fridge freezer display is great to listen to music and youtube. I like how you can see what is in the fridge from your phone and add family photos. The notes memos are also very useful. One of the best features is the water jug which is great to have on the dinner table. Overall, very happy with the product. Visiters are often commenting on how amazing it looks and is.

Performance: Cooling efficiency is spot on! It cools down quickly and maintains a consistent temperature. The freezer section, located at the bottom, has an easy-to-use layout. One feature I particularly appreciate is the "FreshZone" compartment, which keeps fruits and vegetables crisp and fresh for much longer. We bought this fridge as an upgrade from our previous Samsung fridge. We are absolutely loving the extra space in this one (our previous was 719L). The convertible lower fridge/freezer space is one of my favourite features - perfect for entertaining or storing birthday cakes, meat to marinade or drinks to chill! The AI vision is such a cool feature, it does take a bit of getting used to, to track and manage the items in the fridge but it’s a worthwhile feature for sure. I love that I can stream radio stations, Spotify, use the AI vision to find recipes for food I already have and am just starting to use the meal planning feature. Being able to add photos, utilise the calendar and write memos is amazing. The water jug and cup filling station is the best! I can quickly and easily fill the kids water bottles with the jug or just a simple glass. And moving the ice trays into the freezer is a stellar move! I honestly love this fridge and rave about it to anyone that will listen!

The new fridge is great but one small design issue is that the water dispenser is very slow, even with good water pressure. The door has to be open along time to get a glass of water, which means all the cold air in the fridge escapes.

Initial Thoughts: After owning this Samsung AI fridge for the last two months, I must say it’s one of our best purchases, and I have no regrets. The design is sleek, and it has loads of space, thanks to the 4-door feature. It truly feels like a game changer in our kitchen. The AI features have been incredibly useful, helping us keep track of our food and maintain it for longer. I love all the extra bits it comes with, from the auto-refill ice trays to the smart AI capabilities. The 4-door feature provides so much space that it’s made organization a breeze. This fridge is a game changer and has been one of the best investments we've made for our home. While I haven't found any significant drawbacks so far, Getting used to all the smart features can take a little time. It was a bit of a letdown to find that I couldn't download apps on the built-in tablet, as I was expecting more customization and flexibility from it. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The Samsung AI Refrigerator has exceeded my expectations with its innovative features, smart capabilities, and excellent design. It has truly made our lives easier and has proven to be a worthwhile upgrade for our kitchen.

Upgrading from our older‑style Samsung fridge to the Samsung 809L Family Hub has genuinely changed our day‑to‑day fridge and freezer experience. It also happens to be the first appliance we bought for our upcoming kitchen renovation, and it’s already set the tone for the modern look we’re going for. We were comparing a few models, but we picked this one up on a special and it offered the best value by far. The Family Hub features have become part of our daily routine: music while cooking, the whiteboard planner for keeping organised, and SmartThings for controlling everything related to the fridge — or any other device you’ve already configured in SmartThings. In our case, that includes the Samsung air conditioners located around the house. The size and layout are excellent. The drinks section is so convenient and well thought out. The freezer design makes everything easy to find and store (no more digging around a bottomless pit looking for something), and the ice maker produces and holds so much — plus we can schedule it so it doesn’t drop ice at night. It is also incredibly quiet; even with the ice maker running, it barely makes a sound. It looks absolutely beautiful, works perfectly for our needs, and we just love it - don’t miss the old one at all.

The answer? Maybe! We received our family hub to much excitement a couple of weeks ago. Following some deconstruction by the delivery men, they were able to get the fridge in to the house - this thing is big! Once plugged in the hub was very easy to setup. I had the two eldest kids in tow (8 and 11yo) and they enjoyed putting together all the trays and peeling the film off the surfaces, "satisfying" was the word of the day. Overall, we feel this is an excellent fridge freezer but the more advanced features are not quite there yet. Pro + Spacious, comfortably allowing us to put 2 weeks of groceries for our family of 5. + Spotify connect is a big plus in our house as we always have music playing. Although the software could do with an update to allow you to set the default speaker to something other than the fridge. + The calendar is extremely useful for us to juggle appointments, business trips and everything in between. We can see this feature being very useful. + Our children very much enjoy checking the weather app to see if they should be wearing shorts for school. + The meal planner with the option to order the ingredients is next level. More usage is needed to see if it'll be more than a novelty. Cons - the speakers are a bit flat, as you might expect but you'd never use this to play music, only to initiate music from another Device. - we couldn't figure out a way to have both our Samsung accounts connected at the same time. Limiting our ability to manage things like shopping lists for both adults. Nice update for the app perhaps? -the vision AI is very time consuming to get right. Frequently you're manually having to enter the food name. You're adding 20 minutes to the job of putting the weekly shop away. We'd love software updates to improve this feature.
