Bought Samsung Top Loader washing machine February 2017 and have had 7 service calls to machine. Washing machine removed once from premises to workshop, after machine returned same problem recurs after 3 washes - wash cycle to take 1hr 6mins still running after 8 hours, cycle does not finish, cycle will count down to 46mins and will continue to run there until you turn off machine - clothes still not washed. Purchased extra warranty - "Product Care" - when we bought the machine and Samsung still not refunding price of machine. Will never again purchase Samsung products given their after care and customer service is terrible.

I purchased this machine on the 18th January this year from Harvey Norman Springvale. Whilst the machine works well so far and gives you many programs to choose from, I noticed a discolouration on the lip of the machine on Saturday. I contacted Samsung on Sunday to report on what I noticed only to receive an email saying they were not able to help me as the discolouration wasn't part of the warrante. I would have liked a bit more guidance on what could have caused this discolouration but was basically fobbed off. So basically my message is the machine is good so far, you may not get the information you are after or support when something goes wrong.

Purchased back in 2017. It worked well for years but then started having issues recently. Water was pausing when filling and then it stopped agitating and spinning. Cost me $200 for someone to tell me that it was not repairable due to clutch and drum issues. No error codes displayed nothing. I expect a machine to last at least 10 years. Nothing is built like they used to be. At least I got 6 years out of it unlike many reviews on here. You can no longer buy it but if you are do consider buying a second hand one just be mindful that it won’t last.

I'd seen reports of the low-pressure error (4C?) and dismissed it as not likely. However, we got that error consistently. What I did find though is that the water was not flowing from the hose very well and there was gunk in it. I tested the hot water hose and it flowed great. Using that hose no issues. The washing machine is great. Will do bedding and a full load for a family of 6. The soaking/handwash tray I like the idea of but was skeptical. It has been great. Kids are always getting mess on their shirts, so we no longer have a separate tub going but have it sit in the tray. The wash runs fast too, it's been great.

Got this as a replacement as my old Samsung machine was faulty and from day 1 I’ve uncounted issues. Doing a load is a nightmare when it’s on final spin the drum bangs from side to side then drains and then fills up water all over again and adds another 50 mins to the cycle, had error codes come up that don’t make sense, I’ve been through the whole manual on troubleshooting nothing I’ve done fixed the issue not too mention my water bill has skyrocketed because of how many times it fills the water back up aaarrrrrr so frustrating also I only premium washing liquid

I bought this machine on looks alone, my 1st mistake. Looks great in my black and white home, however that's where the love stops for me. Not all user friendly unless you want a machine that you can leave alone. I find if you wash in hot water then the machine also rinses in hot water unless you set it on Wash Only, then return for the rinse and spin cycle. Yesterday I set on Spin Only returning to find the machine had refilled with water!!! Not a fan at all, I would not recommend this machine...sorry Samsung!

We bought this machine in 2019 and it has worked very well for our needs. We are a family of six and it handles the regular large loads very well. The pre-wash sink is a handy addition so I can pre-treat stains straight over the machine, and the ribbing in the sink acts like a washboard so I can scrub out stains better. It does, however, have a couple of unfortunate drawbacks. If a load is unbalanced when it tries to spin it will go through another rinse to try to balance the load - not great for us on tank water when we have to be mindful of how much water we are using. It's also inconvenient that some settings on some of the cycles can't be changed. I sometimes would like to use the 'delicates' cycle but it is preset to 2 or 3 rinses and I can't change it back to one, again in order to save water. Other than that, I have liked using this machine.
I recommended this product.

Overall a great washing machine, I've owned it for about 3 weeks and used it nearly every second day with ease and no issues. It's a fantastic size for my family of 5, fits king sized doonas and sheets with ease in one wash and does a fantastic wash. You can change the spin, water level, rinse settings to what you need. The sink isn't of great size to wash or soak anything of significant size, I could only soak 1 pair of small ladies trackies. Best washing machine I've owned and would hands down recommend to anyone needing a large washing machine.

The 4C error code is really annoying, which is said to be caused by water pressure, kinked hose, blocked filtors. But when all that is taken care of, still the machine does not fill. I am very unhappy with this samsung washing machine and Do Not recommend this product.

This machine is a giant pain in the butt. It takes ages to start so you manually need to tell it what water level you think is best otherwise it over fills in your water bill is huge. It bangs like crazy it sounds like a thunderstorm if it's out-of-balance. The whole cycle is so loud I can hear it from upstairs and that's when it's working well. I agree the softener leaks into the detergent and never empties properly that is gross to clean. Washing never smells great as it doesn't seem to spin properly and you really need to be waiting to grab the washing as soon as it's finished to stop it smelling. Today I bought an Electrolux front loader in my life has changed good by Samsung p.s. The darn lid keeps banging on my head because you keep forgetting to click the inner lid tray closed.

Bought machine 2 months ago and its great. Filters are easy to take out and clean. Looks good. It is a deep machine being so big so shortys will need a step haha. Clothes come out well cleaned and i love i can put it on a low spin for my undergarments. So glad i got rid of my frobt loader. No more leaks and strange smell on my clothes. Love i can do my king size bedding with ease. Happy so far. It is a samsung so i dont have overly high expectations of longevity. Our fingers are crossed though.

I bought this washing machine 2020 and due to the price we have had to suffer with it for 3 years, it doesn’t have quick wash as the machine adds time onto the wash cycles of its own accord so a quick wash of 45 mins ends up being 2 hours we only found similar reviews after we had it for 4 months and got annoyed with washes taking forever, smart app never worked and thankfully the machine has finally died so we can get a different one

This is a big machine and I had to remove my laundry door so it would fit. I love the soak option. It fits my super king quilt which is a huge saving instead of dry cleaning. I would recommend this machine for any family if they have the space. The only issue I had is the waste water hose isnt a standard fit and I was unable to connect it under my sink without extra hoses so it now runs freely into my sink which you have to remember not to leave anything able to block the sink.

I am so happy with this washing machine one of the features I really like is the filters and I can do a very small load to a very heavy bedding load with ease I also like that I can choose how long I want the washing cycle for etc even on quick wash.you have to be hard to please if you do not like this washing machine as you have many options to choose from regarding your washing preferences.

With every push of a button Beep! Cannot turn the sound off. I know when I am pushing a button! Only the end alarm can be muted. My previous Samsung was a fantastic machine and I had the option to silence it but I am very disappointed with this new model. It appears this is the new norm with Samsung machines. No purchasing again.

I bought this machine 2 months ago and absolutely hate it. For a family of 7 with mostly small children I have a lot of washing to get through every day. This machine takes more then 3 minutes to even start up (apparently it has a lot of thinking to do) and over an hour to do a basic load, 3 hours to wash bedding and over 2 hours for baby clothes. I’ve never had so much washing back up as I have since buying this machine because there aren’t enough hours in the day to get through it all. So I basically have to still use the local laundry mat to keep on top of the washing. The water softner tray doesn’t empty properly and leaks water softner onto the finshed cycle so I then have to carefully pick through the clothes and rewash those again with softner on them. The bowl is so deep that I struggle to get stuff in the bottom of the machine. I’ve hung several loads of washing on the line dripping wet because the machine goes off balance and unless I restart the whole cycle again it won’t correct it self after the load it readjusted.

I've had this machine for a couple of months now and I really like it. I was using a front loader previously and thought I would try a top loader. It holds so much washing it's a huge machine. One person complained that the drum is so far down it is hard to reach stuff.. well duh of course if you are short (like me) and you buy a giant washing machine.. it could be difficult to get things that are right at the very bottom! I bought a little step and now I can reach no problem. I mean if you buy something this large what do you expect? I really like the options for how long the wash cycle is and how many rinses you want. The washing comes out really clean. I also love the filters inside the drum. This is great if you have dogs or horses like I do, because it catches the bits of hay and hair that might be on your clothes. If you wash the dogs beds and whatnot they come out super clean. Once you clean those things you can just do a drum clean and voila your machine is ready for non animal things. I found that it isn't a much longer wash time than if you were using a front loader. I can do 2/3 loads depending on type and that's me done! So different from having to do multiple loads spread out over days. I have not found that the softener drawer leaks I'm not sure why that other person found that to be the case. Maybe putting too much in at the one time? It does make beeping sounds when you are choosing you're cycle but they aren't too loud and it does a little tune at the end so you know it's finished. If you didn't have that you wouldn't know it was done because it is super quiet when running. I was concerned about the spin speed not being enough - the front loader I had was max 1400 and this is only max 800 - but I have actually only used low for clothes and medium for bedding they have always been well spun and I don't think I will ever use anything higher. I think that is better for my clothes. With the front loader I was doing it at 900/1100 depending on type. I haven't used the sink option yet but I think this is a great idea and one of the reasons I bought it. I purchased mine from The Good Guys in Ipswich and got the extended warranty just because of the feedback here about the poor Samsung service with issues.

It was good for a few years and now started banging loading during sin cycles and doesn’t seem to finish a cycle it just keeps filling up, Samsung are awful and don’t want to k ow about it as it’s out of warranty, it ended up costing me a couple of hundred dollars from a repair guy and a few months later it’s doing it again. I do not recommend Samsung or this product

This machine is bulky noisy and scratches super easily. I am currently trying to sell this machine online so I can purchase a different one. Clothes become completely tangled into a ball and an item with some pasta sauce flicked on in still has it by the end of the cycle. Not happy at all

Time to wash keeps growing and growing during the wash. We are getting a 4C warning which means there isn't enough water pressure... this is a machine fault there is nothing wrong with the water pressure. Very disappointing considering the cost of the machine.

Happy with purchase. Nice big capacity. Clothes come out clean even when soiled quite badly. I don’t use the top scrubbing/soaking part tho. Short people will have a hard time getting the clothes out from the bottom of the tub. All in all I like this machine.

I'm an Airbnb host and when at full capacity can sleep 7. Peak season last year saw me chained to the laundry. This year I went searching for a machine that would give me a large capacity load. I had seen one of these machines at Noel Leeming, but as I shop at Harvey Norman, I went there to see if they would price match. They claimed the LG 13 kg front loader was a far superior machine and stupidly I allowed myself to be talked into it. Long story short, I hated it. Instead of getting me out of the laundry quicker, every single setting seemed over 2 hours AND had error messages every time I tried washing bed covers. Now I have this 13 kg Samsung top loader. Only had it a couple of weeks but already I'm sold! All presets can be altered to shorten or lengthen wash cycles. High speed spin really does a fantastic job and the lint filters are fantastic. I can get a large load done in half the time of the LG and no errors. I am VERY wary of Samsung's after sales service so have taken an extended warranty for peace of mind. Now I look forward to laundry. I can zip through cleaning of guest suites and have the washing on the line in a fraction of the time. As to value, well it was hellish expensive, and only a couple of weeks into using, time will tell.
